Champion Nutrition is a privately owned company that manufactures and markets a full line of nutrition products to professional athletes and fitness enthusiasts worldwide. Established in 1983 by Michael Zumpano, a bodybuilding enthusiast, Champion Nutrition has developed cutting edge products that revolutionized the bodybuilding industry.

By 1989, Champion Nutrition had become the premier sports nutrition company in the bodybuilding market. That same year Champion Nutrition crossed over into the endurance market with the introduction of an exercise and recovery drink, which by 1993, had become the most widely acccepted and talked about sports drink in professional cycling.

Their commitment to improved athlete performance has seen their list of devotees, ranging from the amateur to the World class athlete, grow beyond bodybuilding and cycling to include Olympic athletes, collegiate and professional players, in the areas of football, basketball, baseball, soccer, hockey, rugby, skiing and many other sports.
