Herbs for Kids now offers a single extract of Oregon Grape root (Mahonia or Berberis aquifolium) as an alternative to over-harvested and often over used, Goldenseal. This herb has properties which support the immune system and liver. Because of its antibacterial capabilities, customers use Oregon Grape root during acute symptoms of infection such as yellowish runny noses during colds. Traditionally, it has been used as a liver stimulant, bitter tonic and for treatment of psoriasis.
