What is Furuncle Boils ?
A furuncle is a common, often painful, infection of the skin. it is commonly known as a "boil".

Causes of Furuncle Boils
A furuncle is a deep infection of a hair follicle. Hair follicles are structures deep in the skin that make hairs. The follicle becomes infected with bacteria and swelling and inflammation then occur causing the boil.

Symptoms
  • A red lump on the skin that grows and becomes filled with pus
  • Tenderness and pain, which is sometimes severe in the affected area.
  • Fever, occasionally.
  • Septicaemia can be a complication resulting from boils


Diagnosis of Furuncle Boils
Your doctor can diagnose a boil or carbuncle by examining your skin. If you have frequent recurrences of boils within a short period of time, your doctor may do blood tests to check for diabetes or other medical conditions that can increase your risk of repeated infections
