Introduction
Kidney cancer is a kind of cancer that is found in kidneys. Kidneys are those organs of the body which control the liquid excretion system of our body. These two bean shaped organs are situated above the waist at the lower back. The cells within the kidney walls known as carcinoma start to grow disorderedly which causes tumor. It starts at the outer portion of kidney as they are epithelial cells of kidney. This is the most common type of kidney cancer found in adults. These cells if not controlled form tumors and stones in kidney. It needs to be taken cared urgently as these cancer cells can spread to other parts of the kidney as well. It can be found in a single kidney and it can also be found in both the kidneys. There is no possible prevention that it may not develop again when removed once. When cancer is found in the central section of the kidney it is called transitional cell cancer of kidney.

Causes
The causes can be many such as, fatness. Smoking is another factor causing kidney cancer. It can also be because of old age and gender factors, some people may have it because their parents were once a victim of it. Previous kidney infection can lead to kidney cancer. A disease called Von Hippel-Lindau can lead to kidney cancer. Industrial agents such as aniline dies, benzidines, lead and asbestos can also effect in this regard. Eating high fats and protein enriched diet is also a cause of cancer. Kidney dialyses for a long term can also affect kidneys in bad ways. The stones or the tumors in the kidneys can vary in number, they can be many and there size is also variable. The size of the tumor can vary from a small pea seed to a gulf ball.

The most prominent symptoms of kidney cancer include blood in urine or cloudy color of urine. Urination becomes painful. It can be further followed by fever, vomiting and loss of appetite. The person can feel pain in or around the lower abdomen. The patient may suffer from fatigue and blood pressure. Protuberance or hard mass may be felt in the kidney area.
Diagnosis
Diagnosis of the kidney cancer can be made in several ways.

Prevention
- Use of red meat should be restricted.
- Quit smoking.
- Avoid eating decaying and sour edibles.
- Keep your self fit and firm.
- Have your medical checkups regularly after the age of 50.
Treatment
Treatment includes surgery, removal of the affected area of kidney. Radiation and chemotherapy are also used to treat kidney cancer but they are no that effective. Immunotherapy and Nephrectomy can be effective but nephrectomy can be done only once, as it means removal of infected kidney.
