Digestive Enzymes
What are Digestive Enzymes?
Digestive enzymes are complex proteins involved in digestion that stimulate chemical changes in other substances. They work optimally at specific temperature and pH.
What does Digestive Enzyme do?
Digestive enzymes improve absorption of food.
Digestive enzymes may also improve immune system function.
A diet with an increase of live, raw, whole foods will also assist in taking some of the load from the pancreas which will ultimately allow better digestion and lessen the problematic conditions of health.
Enzymes are needed for every chemical reaction that takes place in the human body. No mineral, vitamin or hormone can do any work without enzymes. They are the workers that build our bodies from proteins, carbohydrates and fats, just as construction workers build our homes from wood and brick. You may have all the raw materials with which to build but without the workers (enzymes) you cannot even begin.
